Its LX9500 INFINIA 3D TV has a 55-inch screen and is illuminated by panels of LEDs behind the screen (1,200 LEDs if you want the exact count) to provide excellent picture quality and brightness. What else it brags is a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, TruMotion 400Hz (or 480Hz for NTSC) support, full HD playback, HDMI 1.4, Skype, DLNA, USB 2.0, Wireless AV Link and NetCast.

On the loop of 3D TV craze at International CES, Xpand previewed its new range of 3D glasses at its press conference on January 8th.

The X103 series, will have 300 hours of battery life. It will debut in Q2 with a light design (2.1 ounces) and in 12 colors, including purple, yellow and blue.

Xpand’s X104 series will also be feature on what they’ll call “holy grail” of 3D glasses with at the Q3/Q4 debut.

RealD, a developer of digital 3D technology, announced its partnership with Sony, JVC, Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic and DirecTV to bring its stereoscopic RealD format to consumers’ homes.

RealD will work with its partners to incorporate 3D into HD televisions, and to develop both active and passive 3D glasses.

RealD confirmed that it can deliver 3D across cable, satellite, packaged media and the Internet with the help of its collaborators since its format is compatible with the existing HD television components.
