ArcSoft Launches 3D Plug-in for TotalMedia Theatre(R) 3 Platinum Users

ArcSoft, Inc., the world-leading multimedia software provider, announced today that its best-selling multimedia player application, TotalMedia Theatre now features a new 3D plug-in, which includes Blu-ray 3D and Sim3D(TM). With ArcSoft’s 3D plug-in, users now can enjoy Blu-ray 3D and native stereo 3D movies and video files, as well as turning regular 2D photos and movies* into realistic 3D.

Sim3D(TM), encoded in AVC-MVC, creates a realistic stereo 3D viewing experience in real-time. Native stereo 3D movies and videos include 3D-DVD, YouTube 3D files, and 3D videos that are encoded in Left/Right, Up/Down, Anaglyph, and more.

“We are proud to be the first in the industry to launch a Blu-ray 3D player in the retail market,” said George Tang, ArcSoft Vice President and General Manager of Video and Home Entertainment Group. “Combined with Sim3D, all content, including standard DVD movies and videos, can be viewed in realistic 3D.”
